The Grand Junction Film Festival, now in its third year, has achieved international status in a very short time. Last year, screening films from all over the world brought audiences and filmmakers to our small community for an experience that paved the way for the next festival which is already shaping up to be bigger and better!

The small-town feel and 'no-boundaries' vibe has helped create a level of excitement for festival-goers that may be harder to come by at some of the larger festivals in the region. We screen an abundance of student and amateur films, many of them a debut for the actors, actresses, and directors invloved in each production. Allowing introductions and Q & A with the filmmakers that are in attendance also creates a much better understanding of the body of work the audience is about to view.

Making the trip to Grand Junction is also a draw for filmmakers to attend their screenings. An outdoor wonderland, Grand Junction sits 25 miles from the Utah border in Colorado's high desert climate. With an endless list of things to do and see, Grand Junction is the perfect community to host such an intimate showing of film. Check back frequently, as we'll be adding films to the list that will be screening for 2014 (with short descriptions) as they become accepted!

We often receive an overwhelming amount of submissions at one time. To become part of our review team and help with the selection process, send us a Facebook message or email us at info@gjfilmfest.org
